I am excited to share the 7 organizations that we have chosen to partner with for 2020. When you buy or sell with me, I am committed to donating 7 percent of my proceeds from the transaction to any of these 7 causes. I give my clients the opportunity to choose which nonprofit will benefit from their business. It has been fun to see how often there is a personal connection or story behind their choice.
Meghans’s Wish Foundation
We are in our second year partnering with this wonderful organization. Meghan’s Wish provides backpacks with necessities for children of all ages entering the foster care system. To learn more about this organization, click here.
Hope House of Colorado
“Sixty-seven percent of parenting teen moms live below the federal poverty line.” Hope House provides a haven for teen moms and their children who are in unsafe environments. The goal is to help these mothers gain the skills necessary to be able to succeed and thrive independently in their community. To read all about the programs they offer, click here.
Lutheran Family Services
Lutheran Family Services utilizes donations to provide beds and household essentials for refugees and asylees. We were privileged to be a part of this process twice in 2019 and have chosen to partner with them again in 2020. To watch a brief video and learn more about who this benefits, click here.
Denver Rescue Mission
Although appearing here for the first time as a Seven Sent partner, we were able to donate some warm clothing and blankets last fall after an early snowstorm left many in our area unprepared and in desperate need of protection from the elements. The Denver Rescue Mission has been in existence since 1892 and is committed to helping those experiencing homelessness and addiction. To learn more about their history, click here.
Step Up Denver
One of our favorite events of 2019 was the Step Up Denver walk to raise awareness and support for individuals with Down syndrome. Because some of my favorite people in the world have Down syndrome (including our middle son, Jonathan) this cause will probably always be on our list. Our family and countless others benefit from all that the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association provides. To hear about this celebration and those it benefits, click here.
I first learned about Global Refuge from a client in 2019. He asked if I would be willing to use the funds set aside from our closing to benefit this cause. Global Refuge seeks to “create and operate businesses that provide jobs, livelihoods and emergency assistance to victims of war.” The resettlement process for these individuals is extremely costly on multiple levels. To read more about all this involves, click here.
Royal Family KIDS
“Royal Family KIDS exists to transform communities by interrupting the cycles of neglect, abuse, and abandonment of children in the foster care system.” Seven Sent would like to pay for at least one child impacted by foster care to attend a Royal Family KIDS Camp here in Colorado in 2020. To see what this camp is all about, click here.
If you are interested in partnering with me this year in the buying or selling process, or if you know of someone who might be, please contact me at: 720-443-2887 or email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
